Your senators will soon vote on massive federal budget cuts, and if they follow the lead of the House, Virginia will suffer:
A list of projects, including $120 million in high-speed rail funding, are facing complete elimination and the Dulles Metrorail corridor could see its federal funds slowed down.
We're working with your senators to protect this funding and stop these cuts, but they need to hear from you, too!
Virginia's senators are going to be key: Tell them not to gut transportation funding, before it's too late!
The House's scorched-earth cutting will slow economic growth, force layoffs and generally make it harder for Americans to get around. Projects nationwide ranging from new transit construction to high-speed rail are targeted for either deep reductions or elimination.
You Senators can stop this, but they need to know how these cuts will impact people like you! If you support these programs, now is a crucial time to tell your senators. Please don't delay.
