Tomorrow we're releasing our national map of transit cuts, which documents the crises transit agencies are facing all across the country. The map highlights service cuts, job elimination, and fare hikes that are plaguing our communities.
Help us make sure the map is up to date, if you see something that is missing or incorrect, submit changes through this form. Then spread the word about our transit crisis. Share the map with your local media and highlight how it's impacting your community. It's time we act to save transit.
Don't forget to tune into this week's partner call, Thursday April 22nd 3pm EST to get the latest news about transportation reauthorization and upcoming campaign actions.
Best,
Lea Schuster,
Field Director

Washington Update
EPW wrapped up their transportation hearings last week with the final session on focusing on safety. The committee is now moving on to drafting the bill, and Chairwoman Boxer states they'll push to have a bill done by August Recess.
Senators Kerry, Graham and Lieberman are said to be releasing their climate and energy bill next Monday. However, it's still unknown if there will or will not be a linked fee for transportation funding. We are supporting CLEAN TEA cosponsors as they push for funding for clean transportation options, and as soon as we know what's in the actual bill we will let you know.
Take Actions
From April 20-28, hundreds of members of the Transportation Equity Network and their allies in eleven cities will hold a series of memorial services, rallies, and other actions to resurrect mass transit in their communities. Learn more and see if there is an event in your city by checking out the TEN website.
